We make mistakes too.

SOOO I took my lovely client(that i only see maybe once a year) from blonde back to her roots. In our consultation, she was clear that she didn’t want to be too dark. But that she would like to be darker with dimensional pieces in it.

We started the process by filling her hair (there were some major porosity issues btw) and then leaving pieces out to keep lighter brown while dying the rest darker.

I totally miscalculated the depth of color because she wasnt too keen on seeing “ginger”. So i panic -mixed.

Her hair turned out beautiful, but i could tell from her reaction it was quite a shock for her (to go from light to dark) and i could also tell by her reaction it was darker than expected. It totally was darker than i expected too.

She said she was happy with it but i knew she wasnt ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT, so I WASNT HAPPY with it.
I was having major sleepless nights while over thinking the process and formulas i mixed… while insta stalking her stories to see what her hair looks like…

I asked her to come back so that we could fix it. She did, shame, drove all the way back from Bredasdorp!

It turned out AMAZING!

This happens to all of us. Honestly, sometimes we’ve misjudged your hair or the formula and that’s actually OKAY. We are also human and work under a lot of pressure and expectations.

I am just happy to have insisted on improving it! Now I’m going to go to bed knowing I HAVE DONE MY BEST 🙌🌸🫶🏻🌈

It came out STUNNING! .co wanted copper without the orange 🤣 somehow we did it!!! Dipped our toe into the warmth, and WOW does it look good on her!



Started with full head chunky lowlights/panels:

Did a quick hairline blond foil for blending.

Glazed with: Vibrance
Roots: 7-57 + 1.9%
Ends 9.5-46+7-57 + 1.9%
