Finding your undertone is simply a matter of being aware of the effects of colours when they reflect on to your face. Think about it, colour is simply light...and lighting has the power to work with you or against you! The clothes you wear are basically your portable lighting crew 😍😄
Warm colours, e.g. gold, will look better if you have a warm undertone.
Cool colours, e.g. silver, will look better if you have a cool undertone.
You can do these tests yourself at home in front of a mirror in natural light.
As you hold different colours under your chin, don't look at the fabric, look at YOU. Things to watch for 👇
The colour with opposite temperature to your undertone (like the gold on me):
• emphasises skin redness, blemishes, dark circles and shadows
• discolours, or muddies your skin
• dulls, or has no effect on your eyes
• drags the jawline down, or creates a dark shadow beneath it
• wants to steal the spotlight (you see the colour rather than you)
The colour with matching temperature to your undertone (like the silver on me):
• brightens and clarifies your skin
• diminishes blemishes
• brings life and sparkle to your eyes
• lifts the jawline
• wants to put you in the spotlight (you see YOU before the colour)

Did you know that purple is one of the most universally flattering shades for all eye colours?! Purple enhances green and hazel eyes, makes brown eyes appear warmer, and adds depth to blue eyes 👀
Purple is associated with royalty, majesty, and nobility as well as having a spiritual or mysterious quality. Darker shades often represent luxury or opulence, while lighter shades are quite feminine, sentimental and nostalgic.
From a colour psychology perspective, purple promotes harmony of the mind and the emotions, contributing to mental balance and stability, peace of mind, a link between the spiritual and the physical worlds, between thought and activity.

When you have the option to mix 2, 3 (or more!) lip colours together, you will always have the perfect shade to go with your personal colouring or your outfit!

Is your colouring Cool and Deep like Kim K? Blue-leaning (i.e. Cool colours) that are also on the darker side are your best lipsticks!
Go for clear deep reds and fushias if your features are also bright, or deep plums and cool browns if your colouring is soft and deep.
Or ignore this and wear whatever makes you happy!
However, if you want sparkly eyes, a smooth complexion and whiter teeth, understanding what harmonises with your natural colouring is the way to go 👌

Week in review....what I wore on my face 🤪 Monday to Saturday.
Chucking on a quick 5 minute makeup takes no effort, sets me up for a good day and makes me feel a little bit more sassy.
The fact that at the same time I'm protecting my skin from the environment, smoothing wrinkles and boosting cell renewal is just an added bonus.
Oh, and no checking in the mirror or reapplying as it doesn't fade, wear off or crease 👌
