So the weather forecast is depressing but candles are a great way to brighten your mood. Today I'm making lots of Flower Power ready for the weekly market in Finchley tomorrow. It will be the third time I'm there and every time it has rained but it hasn't stopped people going out to support local businesses 😊💌

Our first ever market with Scented Soul went so well today! 💕 It was amazing to interact with the local community in Finchley, met so many lovely people. Our best seller was Flower Power in the white gloss container with rose gold lid. We sold out of our midi size...can't wait to be back next week! Thanks to for putting on a great new market. Hope you're all enjoying getting together outdoors. My local pub is fully booked for the next 3 weekends, the joys of living in London! Outdoor picnics are so much fun though (when it's not snowing) and I always make sure to have candles included to keep insects away.

Spring equinox starts on Saturday, where the length of night and day time become nearly equal. My plan this weekend is to have a big spring clean and fill my home with natural candle scents. Also hoping for some warmer weather! 🌼

I absolutely love the days I wake up feeling refreshed. For the last few weeks my nighttime routine has been all over the place and I've really lacked energy. So last night I lit a candle, read in bed and popped a lavender filled pouch under my pillow. After blowing out my candle all my thoughts from the day had disappeared and I slept like a baby. Do men love candles? When I started out making candles I read that 90% of candles are bought by women. I had a misconception men weren't big candle fans but I am being proven wrong. My partner burns a Scented Soul candle every day whilst he's working. It smells good, helps him destress and creates a nice ambience. More and more of my customers are men and its great to see! Aromatherapy has so many wellbeing benefits and candles are the perfect place to start. Self-care needs to be a priority for us all so nothing makes me happier than sending out Scented Soul aromatherapy candles. Have a great Thursday!

It's a bubbly, pizza, candle kinda night.. Who's with me? 🥂

The first time you light a candle is the most important and will affect the rest of its 'life.' You need to ensure it burns long enough for the top layer of wax to completely melt. This is roughly 2 hours, but could be more for large candles. If you don't burn it to the edge of the glass then the wax will tunnel which causes wax wastage. A little tip ahead of the weekend. Last year I learnt calligraphy to address our wedding invites, the wedding got postponed but I'm glad my pens came in handy. Writing your gift cards is getting me practicing again and it's so therapeutic concentrating on those thin and thick strokes. Highly recommend calligraphy practice in lockdown. It's the pen equivalent of yoga!
