Every wondered why our eyes start to look tired as we age? And why no cream, serum or makeup improves tired looking eyes? Often it’s due to tear trough hollowing.

The tear trough is the sunken area below the eyes that causes dark circles. The tear trough deformity is very common amongst both men and women and forms due to gradual changes in the skin, fat, muscles and ligaments. The rate at which this deformity develops is dependent on a variety of ageing factors, including genetics.

These changes ultimately result in a groove under the eye, with a shadowing formed in the area when light falls on the face. This causes the appearance of dark circles.

By lifting this groove with filler injections, the shadowing improves, eliminating the dark circles and restoring fresher, less tried looking eyes.

The structural support filler provides is something creams, serums and makeup can not achieve as they only effect the skin.

Not always an option for everyone but definitely a high impact treatment!!

This beautiful lady came to us wanting to improve the appearance of her jawline and mid face. She felt her features had dropped slightly and wanted a discrete lift.

It’s a common misconception amongst patients and practitioners that fillers are able to lift the mid or lower face. This is simply not true. There is no significant lifting effect from fillers as they have the consistency of a gel.

However, what fillers can do is create light reflexes which give the illusion of a lift!

By contouring her cheek bones light bounces off of her face in an upward vector which gives the illusion of a lift!!

Then by placing filler along the jawline to create a straighter edge, the overall result is a seemingly lifted face!

No face lift! Just fillers!
