What a way to kick off my education journey with 🖤🧿✨
Yesterday I had the absolute joy of nerding out with the lovely humans of about ingredients, product knowledge, allergen awareness, and being “prescriptive” about the product choices we make behind the chair.
This was such an amazing team to chat with and it felt like we’d been connected for a lifetime 🥹 All the nerves I had instantly washed away with .hernandez hospitality and the curious nature of the whole team. Also with the fact that a few of these cool cats had been to - We love when worlds collide 😂 🫶
Thank you for coming out to offer moral support and take content (cause I absolutely did not outside of this pic lol) I 🖤 u sm

Deportation is not just a single act; it’s a generational wound. When my grandfather was deported in the 1970s, it didn’t just take him away—it severed an entire branch of my family tree from its roots. My father was born in a country that told him assimilation was survival, that his language and culture were something to be ashamed of. Because of this, my family lost not just our language, but our connection to our heritage, our practices, and the fullness of who we are.
Deportation is an extension of colonization—a violent erasure that fractures families, futures, and communities, ensuring the systemic oppression of those deemed “other.” It is inhumane, not only in the way it rips people from their lives but in how it denies future generations the chance to know themselves fully. If my grandfather hadn’t been deported, we might be bilingual, deeply rooted in the traditions of our blood, and whole. Instead, we are left piecing together fragments of what could have been, living proof that the ripples of these policies reach far beyond borders and decades.
If you see ICE activity, know that you can take action. Stay calm and document everything—record video if it’s safe to do so, noting time, place, and interactions. You have the right to remain silent, and you should never sign anything without consulting a lawyer. Do not open the door if ICE doesn’t have a signed warrant, and remind others of their rights if they’re in danger. Share resources for legal aid and immigrant support organizations, and stand in solidarity by being present—witnessing can often deter unlawful actions. Most importantly, educate yourself and your community to prevent fear from further isolating those targeted by these inhumane systems.
We cannot let these colonial practices define our future. Every moment of resistance—big or small—is a step toward justice and a more compassionate world.

✨🧿 An Update on My Services 🧿✨
Hey, everyone. I want to take a moment to share something important with you all. As some of you know, this year has been full of big transitions and growth for me, both personally and professionally. In navigating my journey as a stylist, an artist, and a person, I’ve realized it’s time to step back from offering certain services that don’t align with where I’m headed right now.
While this decision wasn’t easy, it’s one I’m making to protect my energy and body, focus on what I’m truly passionate about, and genuinely prioritize my health and well-being. Moving forward, I’ll no longer be offering full barbering services, round brush blowdry styling, or dematting services. But don’t worry! These services will still be available through the incredible artists at The Unmasked Coven, like Ashton and Roz!
For me, this isn’t about stepping away but stepping into something more intentional—focusing on educational haircare services, carefully crafted hair color and cuts, professional education, and supporting the shop’s community. Overall continuing to build a space where everyone feels celebrated and cared for.
I’m so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown me, and I hope you’ll trust my team just as much as you’ve trusted me. I’ll still be here, doing the work I love most, and cheering on the amazing artists by my side.
Thank you for allowing me to grow, for being part of this journey, and for letting us continue to care for you in our own ways.

FAETH’S WINTER UPDATES
🧿 Since November 1st, my pricing structure has adjusted to reflect a length, texture, and gender-neutral approach. Regardless of how long, thick, straight, or tight curly your hair is —pricing is the same across the board. OH!! AND INCLUDES GRATUITY OF COURSE!!!
🧿 For health reasons I’ve made the decision to no longer offer traditional barbering services that are done primarily with clippers. Unfortunately my wrist can’t handle full days of fade work. However, I will always offer side shaves and funky clipper details to amplify your cut. For full barbering services I recommend Roz and Ashton!
🧿 Beginning in January, my behind-the-chair days will shift to Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with updated hours coming soon!
Important Note: I’ll be unreachable on the blocked-out days shown on my calendar, so please be patient with responses during that time.
Holiday Hours:
Checking online at theunmaskedcoven.com is the best way to see my availability this December and our only form of booking. I’ve opened up extra slots, but they’re filling fast! Keep in mind that I’ll be unreachable on the red-blocked dates, so plan ahead if you need to contact me.
🧿 Masking With Me:
From December through March, I’ll be masking during all services for health and safety reasons. I kindly ask that you mask up during your appointment with me to help reduce the risk of spreading illness. If you forget yours, we have complimentary masks available at the shop—thank you for your cooperation and understanding 🧿🖤✨
