✨cheers to five official years in the beauty industry✨
as i spend this evening reminiscing and reflecting on the adventures God has sent me on, I’ve realized that I am truly so thankful for the industry i chose and for all He has done through me within it.
thankful for for lighting a fire in my heart full of passion that is well beyond “playing with hair”; thankful for and her amazing family, for always being my support and for all the love on the good and bad days, i wouldn’t be celebrating five years in the industry without the tough love and encouragement you gave me daily; thankful for my family’s support and love, they never once let me give up when life got hard or in the way, they stood by my side and never walked away when things got tough, they just found alternate routes to get me where i wanted to be; thankful .lew for being my first salon home and for all the support and grace i got as a young, inexperienced, immature stylist; thankful for for being my home away from home, for the love and support as i transitioned from iowa to tennessee and from an assistant to a full time stylist and continue to get as i walk into year 6 of being licensed and year 4 of being a Veritas stylist. God knew what he was doing in February 2022 when I found myself in possession of your business card; thankful for all of my amazing, loving, hilarious, emotional clients that i have had the privilege to work with throughout the years, those in iowa who waited for me to come back every 6 weeks in the beginning of my transition to tennessee, and those here in tennessee who took a chance on the new stylist who most days than not comes to work in her favorite adam sandler attire.
Most importantly, I’m so thankful for 15 year old Natalie, who had dreams bigger than what she thought she could achieve and yet somehow only 8 years later her work was showcased on the red carpet just like she said it would one day.
The last five years have been nothing less than a wild, emotional and amazing journey and I cannot wait to continue to serve you all for years to come.🤍✨

who says paint betweens HAVE to be for grey coverage???
after Tammi showed me her inspo pics and we talked about what we would be doing at her next appointment for her true fall color, i opted to to a medium density baby light partial, with a dimensional color that matched her natural color, i painted between each foil- some pieces were painted farther down than others to give it some more depth and dimension. After her foils and root processed, i went in with a gloss at the root that was a shade darker than what i toned her ends with. I applied the root about half an inch down then added in her light and bright gloss and blended it all in.

this is my favorite way to transition from summer blondes to fall lived in blondes.
