Did you know you can still get sugared during your cycle?
Simply wear a tampon for the appointment, and we’ll make sure you’re comfortable throughout the process. Being on your period isn’t a reason to cancel last minute—your skin deserves that silky smoothness, no matter the time of the month! 💁‍♀️

1. Let the Hair Grow
Ensure the hair is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. This is typically around 2-3 weeks of growth. If the hair is too short, the sugar paste may not be able to grip it effectively.

2. Exfoliate Gently
Exfoliate the area 24-48 hours before your appointment. Use a gentle scrub or a washcloth to remove dead skin cells, which helps prevent ingrown hairs and allows the sugar paste to adhere better to the hair.

3. Shower Before Your Appointment
Take a warm shower right before your appointment to cleanse the area and soften the hair. Avoid using any harsh soaps or cleansers that could irritate your skin. Make sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any residues.

4. Avoid Moisturizers and Oils
After showering, do not apply lotions, oils, or any products to the area. These can create a barrier that makes it harder for the sugar paste to stick.

5. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin is more pliable and less prone to irritation.

6. Wear Loose Clothing
On the day of your appointment, wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid irritation after the wax. Tight clothing can rub against the freshly sugared skin, causing discomfort.

7. Manage Discomfort
If you're concerned about discomfort, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30-45 minutes before your appointment. Some people also apply a numbing cream, but make sure it’s suitable for use with sugaring and discuss this with your esthetician.

8. Stay Calm and Relaxed
Try to stay relaxed before and during your appointment. Tension can make the process more uncomfortable. Deep breathing and staying as calm as possible can help.

9. Avoid Caffeine
Avoid consuming caffeine before your appointment, as it can make your skin more sensitive to pain.

10. Communicate with Your Esthetician
If you have any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to discuss them with your esthetician before the procedure. They can offer tips specific to your skin type and the sugaring process.
